See what is happening across your organisation and where to focus first.
When you are carrying responsibility for the whole organisation, it can be difficult to see which issue matters most or what is causing what. The Outside Read brings the connected parts together and identifies where attention is most likely to matter.
You receive a written review, recommendations in order of importance and a debrief call. What happens next is your decision.
When The Outside Read fits
The Outside Read is for a problem you can feel but cannot yet name, or a decision that needs a view across the organisation.
- Something feels off, but the cause is not obvious.
- Progress has slowed or the organisation has become harder to run.
- An important decision affects several parts of the organisation.
- You are receiving partial or conflicting advice.
- You want to understand how key areas of the organisation are affecting one another.
A visible problem in one area may have its cause somewhere else. The Outside Read looks beyond the immediate symptoms.
The Outside Read in detail
A review across five connected areas, for the person or small leadership group carrying responsibility for what happens next.
People around you see the organisation through their own roles. You are the one who has to connect those views and decide where attention goes next.
The Outside Read
Founding offer
This applies to the standard leader-focused review. Broader work involving conversations with people inside or outside the organisation can be discussed and priced separately.
The founding offer is available for a limited number of reviews. Standard pricing will apply once those places are booked.

Book an intro callYour review includes:
- A clear main conclusion
- Findings across the five areas
- The patterns and assumptions shaping the situation
- Prioritised recommendations, including where to focus first
- A debrief call to work through the findings
What you do with the findings next is your decision.
The review is organised around five connected areas:
- Strategy and direction
- Financial clarity and exposure
- Operations and capacity
- External position and visibility
- Leadership and decision-making
These areas provide a structure for understanding the situation. The review does not claim to examine every department or function. Other areas may come up when they affect the question, but they are not assessed separately unless they are included in the agreed work.

Questions about The Outside Read
No. Start with what is happening, what feels difficult and what you are trying to decide. The intro call will help determine whether the review is suitable.
No. It is not a financial audit, legal review, compliance audit or valuation. It is a structured review of several connected areas and where attention should go first.
The current estimate is around three weeks from the main conversation and once the agreed material has been shared. Timing depends on the scope and will be confirmed before booking.
The standard review includes one in-depth conversation with the person carrying responsibility for what happens next. Separate conversations with other people inside or outside the organisation can be added when they would materially improve the review, and are scoped and priced separately.
Only information relevant to the agreed review. What is needed depends on the question and is confirmed before the work begins.
Sparrow does not need direct access to live systems or bulk extracts of personal records.
No. Sparrow provides the review, reasoning and recommendations. You decide what to act on, when to act and who should be involved.
If potential providers are mentioned, they are examples for you to investigate. Sparrow does not receive referral fees or commissions.
If the evidence points to a materially different issue, Sparrow will explain what has changed and what it means. Work outside what was agreed is not added without discussing it with you first.
The review stands alone. You can act on it yourself, engage the specialists or providers you choose, or discuss a separate advisory engagement if you want further independent help.
There is no lock-in.
