Experience across strategy, operations, projects and change
I have spent more than two decades working alongside leaders and teams in construction, defence, digital, investment management, hospitality and IT, including more than fifteen years with a large multinational.
Although the settings have varied, the recurring work has been similar: understanding complex and often confidential situations, connecting pieces that do not naturally sit together and making the important parts easier to see for the people responsible for what happens next.

Based on Awabakal Country in the Lake Macquarie region of NSW, near Newcastle.
I work remotely with clients across Australia and can travel when in-person work is preferred.
Why Sparrow exists
Leaders rarely lack advice, but it often arrives in parts.
An accountant may focus on the numbers, a lawyer on the legal position, a marketer on the market and a technology provider on the systems it supplies.
Each view has value. The gap is often a person who can stand outside those roles, look across the connected parts of the situation and help the person responsible make sense of them, with no product to sell and no solution already decided.
Sparrow exists to fill that gap.
Sparrow is for micro, small and mid-sized businesses, as well as not-for-profits, social enterprises and other for-purpose organisations across Australia. The common thread is a leader or small leadership group carrying responsibility for what happens next and wanting an independent view before acting.
About the name
Sparrows are observant, adaptable and comfortable moving between different environments. That felt right for work that crosses disciplines and looks for patterns that can be difficult to see from within any one role.
By coincidence, the last three letters of Sparrow are also the first three letters of Rowley. It wasn't the reason for choosing the name, but a bonus that was hard to discount.
Deliberately small

I lead every engagement, from the initial questions and analysis through to the written findings and debrief.
This keeps the work close and considered, drawing on my experience and cross-disciplinary perspective without the layers of a larger consulting firm.

What you share is used only for the agreed work and handled with care. Your information is not used to train AI models or shared for unrelated purposes.
